The AGELOCER World Timer is a 42mm automatic watch with an in-house developed calibre, 80-hour power reserve, 27 jewels, 24-time-zone world timer complication, 3D sculpted Earth dial, and sapphire crystal on both the front and caseback. Designed by Etienne Ruffieux – a watchmaker whose career has included Zenith, Parmigiani Fleurier, and Gucci – the World Timer is assembled across 500 hours of manual work and tested for two weeks before delivery. An in-house developed movement is one where the watch brand engineers and manufactures the calibre themselves rather than sourcing it from a supplier. AGELOCER Cal. A4610 is developed and produced by AGELOCER – not an ETA or Miyota base. In the watch industry, in-house calibre development is the benchmark of genuine horological ambition and the principal distinguishing factor between brand manufacturers and assemblers. 80-Hour Power Reserve
The Cal. A4610 stores 80 hours of power in its mainspring – more than three full days of running without wearing the watch. Most automatic movements offer 38-48 hours; a 72-hour reserve is considered generous; 80 hours is exceptional at any price. You can take the World Timer off Friday evening, leave it through the weekend, and it will still be running Monday morning.
World Timer – 24 Time Zones
A world timer complication displays multiple time zones simultaneously via a rotating city ring and 24-hour scale. The World Timer’s city ring lets you reference any of 24 global time zones at a glance – essential for international travellers and global professionals. 3D Earth Relief Dial
The dial features a three-dimensionally sculpted Earth with raised landmasses emerging from deep ocean-blue tones – a dial display that functions as both a world timer reference and a piece of miniature sculpture. No two viewing angles reveal the same surface; the Earth relief changes as light moves across the dial throughout the day.
What 500 Hours of Assembly Means
AGELOCER specifies that the World Timer requires over 500 hours of manual assembly and undergoes two weeks of precision testing before it leaves their facility. These are numbers that describe a manufacturing process closer to bespoke watchmaking than to production assembly. The movement finishing – Geneva stripes on the bridges, sunburst finishing on the plates, mirror-polished screws, blue heat-treated accents on the screws, engraved bridges, chamfered and polished edges – is visible through the sapphire caseback, and it reflects the assembly time invested. This is not a case where the movement finishing is a specification point separate from reality: you can see the Geneva stripes and the blued screws through the exhibition back every time you look.
